I have a post WW2 White metal RSB. Worn by some RAAC units.

All the WW1 RSBs were brass or oxidised.

I have one with KG Luke on the back. I got it in the late 70's along with several others, also got several USMC collars, US Navy SeaBee badges and Netherlands army badges with KG Luke markings. A friend of my father used to drop in a bag of badges for me occasionally, turns out he worked for Austral Bronze in Sydney and he told my father that they had 44 gallon drums of badges and shell casings.

hi macca
who would have worn a gold badge and why? does rick say the badges were worn on hats/caps officially in gold?
if this quote is accurate he's left out bronze and chrome plated
