New pickup - US WW! Tank Corps badges

Here's some new acquisitions.

I believe they are a hat badge and opposing collar badge pair to the US Tank Corps during WW1.

I think they were only worn from mid 1918 to around 1921 when the US Army abolished Tank Branch insignia.

Although out of my area of collecting, any WWI matching set, especially officers, is always desirable and not common.

They actually all have a single pin attachment at the back.

Some variations had screw back(one screw in the back) and others had pins as per your one, not to sure of the significance or if it was just a manufacturers variation-would be great if it had Gaunt on it!!

Wish I had one to show but only have references.

From my experience with US WWI period badges. Brooch pin packed badges were usually officer issue and screw back were for enlisted ranks.

Correct for enlisted men they had the small round collar disk with screw back.
Officers had the broach back but also there were single screw back variations see Emerson's Encyclopedia US Army Insignia and Uniforms.
