Hi JT
Yes, it was your album that actually made me realize there was actually a difference and why I bought this badge. Cheers, Alex |

Nice one Alex. I'm biased I know but I've always felt the Bedfordshire Regiment cap badge to be one of best proportioned of the lot, a handsome little badge. Bedfordshire used to be known as "The Land of Bricks and Brussels Sprouts" and sometimes the wind around here is ferocious!!.

Bedfs
Spent many an unhappy day picking Brussels and peasing in the county, but they do have an excellent county archive.
The Bedfs & Herts were known as the peacemakers- as they never got posted anywhere there was trouble! Stephen. |

Stephen, don't forget, "They also serve who only stand and wait", to quote the old line. Anyway, they did their bit.. Are you an old Clanger by any chance?.

Yes, family was in Willington, schooled at Elstow and Hastingsbury. Jumped the fence at 16 and went to London. Existed [not lived]in Luton for many years subsequently.
My origins have guided my collecting choices, hence my bias towards units from the eastern counties. Stephen. |
