Default Glowing shoulder Eagles?....help!

Was about to buy a pair of RAF 'WW11' printed shoulder eagles but they appear to glow under a fluorescent light gizmo?........they look totally correct for ww11, why would they glow?.........Rayon? Nylon?.......copy? fake?
Purchased a very nice, bog standard pilot wing and pair of Corporal stripes which didn't glow.

Much to my shame, although I am a minor RAF Collector, its mostly goggles, clothing and I don't have much in the way of basic insignia so when I saw these I thought I would have them for £12.00.
