Default Possibly the Senior Officers' School at Earlstoke, Wiltshire

A badge taken from the Accession Sheet inside the front cover of a 1946 dated document on Eleventh Army Group. I cannot translate the motto. Confirmation would be helpful. Mike

I believe it translates, roughly, as 'We have not the power' ['are not powerful enough'], if that's any help.

Google Translate gives the translation as "do not have enough power".

Perhaps this rather defeatist motto refers to the fire?

During and subsequent to the Second World War, the house was used as a Senior Army Officers' training school. In 1950 the main part of the house was destroyed by fire.
