Liverpool Scottish cross belt ( not )
I cannot comment on the authenticity of the badges but the Liverpool Scottish never wore anything like the pouch belt with these badges on .:

Paul,
I am not sure how this works but if you apply to become a "friend" of mine I will accept and you will then be able to access my albums. ( At least I think that is how it works ). Peter

I don't know what it is about Liverpool Scottish items that makes people want to "embellish "them.
and I don't know if the Glengarry and cap badge for sale here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LIVERPOOL-...item5d4bf5fe4a are genuine or not but the tartan backing is not Forbes tartan and in fact a tartan backing was only worn by the Liverpool Scottish on the TOS. P.B.

Steve,
The same with my examples, the black backing does tend to deteriorate over years and I wonder if that happened on the example for sale but as soon as you see that an item has been messed about with you do start wondering if the whole thing is not what it purports to be. Peter
