Nineteenth Century Scottish Uniform for Identification
Can any member shed light on either of these uniforms please?
There is an embroidered cap badge on the diced Scottish cap band but the only thing visible is a QVC although the device below it may just be letters. Thoughts on regiment and dates for both uniforms appreciated. Jon |

Jon,
The seated male is possibly an officer of the 1st Ayrshire RVC at Kilmarnock, later the 1st VB of the RSF. The other chap is probably an officer of a merchant shipping line. regards
