Royal Irish Regiment Marples&Beasley
Gold AA Beret Badge, picked up today for a sensible price, I did not have any by this maker which I think are quite uncommon on AA badges.

By that manufacturer would the badge be UDR not R Irish?

I read in the thread on Marples and Beasley as that it us,for rir, though there was sime discussion on it being udr, though rir was considered correct.

Frank, in the title it is correct, which I posted on my lap top, the mistake was posted on the phone, which was obvious to Leigh and me.

Ta - the one you show has the long slim neck of the badge shown on that thread as the R Irish badge, as opposed to the squat, no neck of the one shown as a UDR.

A Gaunt BHAM and Marples & Beasley, the latter is a noticeably pale gold.

A Dowler, for comparison, with a Marples & Beasley, although unclear in the photograph, the Dowler is a slightly paler gold than the Marples.

Well, I have always just assumed those to be UDR.
