Fife & Forfar Yeomanry KK 1474 Different Images
Whilst scanning a small grouping of Fife & Forfar Yeomanry badges as part of an electronic picture record, I’ve just noticed for the first time that the image KK 1474 in Vol 1 is different to that in Vol 2.
Images can be fuzzy in some reprints of KK, but in my Volume 1 it is pretty clear that in the image KK 1474, the horse has a long neck and voided reins. Whereas image KK 1474 in volume 2, the horse has a shorter neck and solid reins. I have seen on the forum a few different strikes that members have shown, one cracking strike with daisies in the grass and another with solid rear legs like my brass one (I’m not going to say 14th Bn Black Watch for fear of being lambasted), but I really hadn’t noticed the difference between the images in KK until now. I hope KK didn’t decide the badge with the voided reins in Vol 1 was a duffer. Mark |

I've no idea, they do look nice. Good clear photo as well.

A members photograph, who I hope won't mind me reproducing again here. Voided reins on this particular strike or shadow??
