Ethiopian Police(?) badges for ID/confirmation
Good afternoon
These are in a group of African and Middle Eastern police insignia I recently bought so I'm posting them in the hope that someone can confirm, or correctly, ID them: 1) The ‘Lion of Judah’ is in brass, measures approx. 8 x 7cm, and has two long E-W lugs on the reverse - by it’s size I’m guessing it was worn on a sun helmet/tarbosh/fez type of headgear? 2) The second badge I believe to be an officer’s cap badge and has a frosted-silver appearance (although it is fairly light so perhaps a silver-plated base metal?), mounted on black cloth presumably for stitching to a cap. It measures approx. 7 x 8cm, I have found images of similar badges worn by senior Ethiopian military figures on-line, however the central devices are either absent or differ from the one here. Any information regarding use, dates etc. will, as always, be greatly appreciated. Usual caveat that these will be offered for sale, initially on here, once ID’d to my satisfaction. Thanks for looking Graham

So far I've drawn a blank, other than I'm 99% certain they are Ethiopian, and fairly certain they are police. Has no-one else any bright ideas or suggestions?
Thanks Graham
