Default More Liverpool University OTC

I have been re arranging my LUOTC collection and have taken the opportunity to add a couple of items which I had not previously included.

The Manchester University OTC badge represents the origins of the Liverpool UOTC as a platoon of the Manchester UOTC during WW1.

In "The Kingsman " magazine of June 1951 mention is made of a "new WRAC Company" for LUOTC. hence the inclusion of the WRAC badge.

"The Kingsman " magazine of Winter 1990, in the LUOTC report says that ".... At the prize giving ,the Colonel of the Regiment presented blue berets with a Kings Liverpool Regiment badge to each Woman Officer Cadet, as far as we know we are the first UOTC to give up the WRAC cap badge....."

There is also a picture in the Winter 1996 edition of "The Kingsman" of male and female LUOTC officer cadets after " Passing off the Square " at RMA Sandhurst, it is interesting that as well as cap badge of the Kings Liverpool Regiment in their caps they are also wearing the anodised collar badges of The Kings Regiment.

I am aware of a couple of items of insignia that have only been worn by the unit and that I don't have examples of, and so the search goes on.

P.B.
