What is with the ridiculous prices on some ebay lots lately? Just pull a figure out of my a*** an put it up for auction???? No wonder the hobby is taking a big hit in interest.

You're not wrong there Bill,
It's not only restricted to badges, I spotted a 1980's Wilkinson survival knife a couple of weeks back, I have owned/sold a few over the years, worth around $400 or so. It was listed for sale at $20,000.....  Some people are avin a laugh....  Roy.
