Default 14th army or 12th army, and 20th indian division

Would both formation patches be worn at the same time please.
I am a renenactor and want to get it right,

You would have to research the particular unit you want to represent, But if my memory is right then the Twelth army was broken down and superceded by the fourteenth. One of my neighbours fought with the Berkshires in Burma and he told me he wore the Fourteenth Army flash with no div sign But each unit would have its own peculiarity. Kevin

thanks for the reply. I am trying to research the border regt. The Fourteenth army actually preceeded the 12th in its operations in Burma,

Once again memory unreliable. I just had a look in my books and this may help, 2nd Borders were 100th Indian Brigade 20th Indian Division .14TH Army Handed this Division to The new 12th Army 28may 45. So I expect soon after this the battalion would recieve new flashes. The 2Oth indian div sign I have has a safety pin for wear on the shoulder. Also here is a photo of my 12th Army sign. regards Kevin

I'm fairly certain that in the field only the Div patch(and maybe shoulder title) would be worn, I have seen uniform with 14th Army and Div patch below but this maybe a best or 'coming home' jacket
