Default 2nd Royal Scots WW2 question

During WW2, after the original 2nd Bn Royal Scots was lost in the capture of Hong Kong, did the battalion redesignated the 2nd (the 12th, I believe) also take up wearing the green badge insert?

Probably a bit of an esoteric question, I know, but someone on the Forum may have some information.

Reminds me of the zero answers in the game show 'Pointless'! Does that mean I get the jackpot?
