Major Lister Canadiuan Signal Corps
Dear Friends.
Most interesting to see this very clear photo of Major Lister. Canadian Signal Corps. I asked the question of Forum members some time ago regarding the Canadian Signal Corps and the wearing of Bronze collar badges by Officers. From the photo it appears that Major Lister is wearing what looks to be a Bronze cap badge. How ever he is not wearing any collar badges. Perhaps Bill A. or Larry Will or Phil Herring can help with an answer and perhaps a photo of an Officer of the Canadian Signal Corps wearing the Bronze Cap and Collars. Just thought I would ask. Kind regards Chris Walker www.signalsbadges.co.uk |

Thanks Voltigeur for the picture! I have now added it to Lister's RCSigs.ca page. If you find other Canadian Signals photos, please let me know!
As Chris says, it's interesting that he isn't wearing collar badges of any kind. He is clearly wearing CSC buttons though so that's a plus. I have images showing the enamelled badge in use but again, without Signals collars. In one case he has C.S.C. brass shoulder titles, the enamelled cap but has general list collars. Would be nice, as Chris asks for, to have at least one photo showing someone wearing the full kit. Cheers!

Chris,
Not sure if this helps but here's a picture of Capt Forde wearing CSC buttons and collars but not wearing a cap. The photo is undated but it's likely from the Great War period when he was awarded his DSO. http://www.rcsigs.ca/index.php/File:...C_Portrait.jpg

CSC Badges
Dear Joe.
Many thanks for the sight of Capt. Forde wearing CSC collar badges. This is the first I have seen. They look to be of the enamelled type. Do you have any photos of CSC Officer bronze collars? Many thanks Chris |
