Default MY NEW IRISH BADGES

hi all
just picked these badges up and i would appreciate any comments.
im pretty sure they are all good and im happy with the deal, but would welcome other thoughts
a nice little addition to the collection
is there any relevance to the number 172 on the back of the belfast service badge? can it be traced?
thanks

Very nice!!! All cap badges 100% genuine, the only one I'd be suspicious of would be the Tyneside Irish with N-S lugs?

I really like the strengtheners behind the crown of the RIR and Connaught.

Like Andy I'm not sure about the Tyneside Irish. I attach what I believe to be a good one with E -W lugs for comparison.

Oh no! Not the thorny Tyneside Irish 'badge' question yet again. 24th to 27th Bn's wore the regular NF capbadge, the 'titled' Erin Harp is part of the shoulder titles, worn as 3-piece, with the relevant 24, 25, 26, 27 above, then the 'badge', above NF. Early examples had the Reid maker plate with north-south aligned lugs. I may well be corrected, but I've never been happy with an east-west lug alignment; it is a 'badge' much reproduced.

had 8 or so of the 'Reid & Son' harps in the past, the first batch of 750 (so 1500 harps are marked in tiny lettering on rear right of staight part rising centre to top left) mikes one is definitely a good one. all i have had had E/W loops. Mike Luckich told me he'd had the three piece on the large brass plate.
On the one in question agree with andy unsure about this one. Most restrikes from aston had sliders and are this striking, though a been done with loops E/W at least once. mikes is different and finer/crisper. Hope it proves to be OK though.martin

I believe the badge should have N/S lugs and not E/W both mine from respected dealers have N/S lugs
