Default Mint or Minty Queens Regt

This one came in the post this morning, looks brand new, small size Queens Regiment cap badge, 11mm Gaunt London mark.
Opinions sought is it a new copy or a mint original?
Tony.

The fact that it doesn't have the dreaded '.' between the GAUNT & LONDON makes me think it may be a good one.
Cheers,
Alex

If you look in the Maker's Marks section, the mark on your badge is shown as believed to be an original mark.
Cheers,
Alex

Ive had a good look and the answer is yes it may have been clipped but rather than leaving the end square. Its been rounded off using a grinding wheel or a belt sander. Unless you look at very carefully you wouldnt notice .
