As used by 'Phase One' Training Regiments. No longer a Corps!
Like the term 'Degilt Burnish' |

I have the following badges which I believe are "GENERAL LIST"
1st is gilt on lugs, 2nd is bronze on lugs, 3rd is gilt with slider. Can you confirm if this is so or are they "GENERAL SERVICE CORPS"? The G L badges are wider then the GSC badges I have.

That is the WW2 OSD type as worn by Officers commissioned to the General List including a number of Special Operations Executive operatives.

Yes with provenance on who it belonged to but a fairly common badge.

General Service ‘List’ for officers and General Service ‘Corps’ for other ranks are merely convenient categories for accounting purposes and used for those not yet permanently allocated to a regiment or Corps. That includes those in early phase One training, as at that stage they are merely earmarked for their intended corps. The ‘list’ is also often used for anyone taken on as an officer in unusual circumstances, or for time limited ‘special’ service.
