Default Mystery formation badge with beyonet

hello all
can anyone identify this formation badge, i thought it was Artillery , any ideas

Not WW2 as the badge was not introduced until 1955. It should be worn with the point of the bayonet upwards. They come in facing pairs with the edge of the bayonet facing left or right.

And I believe that this was its c 1954 predecessor - Worn by Capt JE Burgess, East Surreys.

I believe this is a Mess dress badge for commando trained personnel.
