Picked up this little beauty at the Calgary Easter show.

Nice Mike, that's the current badge for the pipe band of the Edmonton Police Service and Loyal Edmonton Regiment. It's very hard to find as circulation is restricted to members only. It comes in two sizes, I think yours is the cap, I have a smaller one which I now think is a collar.

I figured it was post war from the construction, very heavy, interesting that they stayed with the early "Edmonton Regiment" and not "Loyal".
