Yes, I agree also, but has it not been said in previous posts that solid ends of the scrolls are fake badges?

Generally true but not in this case. The FN one is correct and the exception to the rule.

Great, thanks guys. Just done some research and they began manufacturing in 1900, so may 'possibly even be WW1 era.

The Essex appears to be of recent manufacture, I do like the Ulster's though.
