Default smith & wright ltd

Hello! I know that metallic badges with j.r gaunt birmingham markings are 70's restrikes...but what about smith & right ltd birmingham? Are they 70's restrikes too? Thank you!

They’re not restikes i.e. further strikes made using an original die, rather they are in 99% of cases complete fakes from a newly made die different to the original.

The ‘owl eyed’ tiger is one such fake. The Smith & Wright mark is not a genuine one, it too is fake.

Yes...I don't like the big eyes of the tiger, and I was thinking that it was really similar to others fakes that I showed in other thread...but I was curious about the markings. Thanks a lot for your help!
