I remember a friend who lived in Camlough just outside Bessbrook during the troubles. If you'd heard what he had to put up with you'd never complain again lol.

Andy,
Are you sure it's an RAF helicopter? I can see it's not raining but I don't see any sunshine

Conflict of Wings (old film) now Conflict of Rotors. Got to be done Lee.
In a town or city these days its often the police or air ambulance. Living by a main road or near Heathrow is also bad. I know it doesn't help- but you know there is a reason for it. Best wishes, Paul. http://www.raf.mod.uk/news/archive/c...ended-03102013

It's an RAF Chinook so you have to let the AAC off this time.

Like I said, AAC don't fly Chinooks, that's the RAF's remit in the JHU.

AAC fly Apache, Lynx, Gazelle & Bell helicopters.

RAF fly merlin & Puma as well as the wocca.

cheers,

Andy C

I don't mind really, they have some deal with the local farmers and they often practice landing and quick drop offs, passing very low over my house at times. The 11pm ones are best, almost in total blackout but you can just about make the silhouette out

If we fly below 50 feet our chips don't go cold as quick

We won't have Merlins much longer either, giving them all to the Navy

Don't forget the Griffin & the few Sea King's we still have too.
