Default Venting my mild annoyance

Good day all,

Finally obtained a copy of Lord & Tennant's 'ANZAC Elite', and checked my Aussie and NZ para wings (first and second pics). Annoyed to find out that wings in third pic are unauthorized and private purchase. Even more annoyed to find out the Rigger wing in pic four is apparently made up for the collector market. Everything else seems to be OK.

*#%@%@*$%#!!! Just one more item of proof I've grown old too soon and smart too late! 'Course, in my defense, I've had these wings a way lot longer than before the book was published. Oh well...live and learn, will be keeping them all anyway. Just wanted to vent.

Stay safe and have fun

Ian

Once more an excellent opportunity for S.T. to vent his belief in books, books and more books.

But never forget that books are only the author's opinion.

I'm sure he would if he were not "Banned"?

No desire to hijack the thread but do we know why he has been banned?

It definitely says banned under his name.

Perhaps he was sailing a little close to the wind with his overbearing, belittling, annoying and condescending nature and disrespect for other members?

Although he did occasionally say something worthwhile, the majority of the time his posts were riddles meant to annoy rather than inform. Not really in the spirit of the forum.

Shame, I was hoping that one day we might get to see his 'desk laden with silver'!

Sorry for hijacking the thread.
Ivan

That's not correct. The top wing in the third photo was authorized and worn on work dress as I have seen photos of it being worn. It was however PP as you have stated but so were many wings particularly bullion.

I disagree. Reference books are a combination of facts and opinions. I doubt that they all have everything in them and quite a few do have some wrong statements or descriptions in them. From my experience some of them are very good and some are fairly bad.
