Default re army air corps cap badge ww2

Hi , im after an original , there appears to be one on ebay ( 271110789213 ) which the seller claims is the only original ww2 strike. The lettering at the base is filled in. There are dealers selling AAC cap badges that arent filled in at a similar price that i usually trust . Can someone enlighten me ? yours wozza

Hi,

This one is wrong imo.

There are real ones with the die flaw, but they have just the centres of the A's filled in and not in between the A's.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that save for it not being quite as well finished as most.

I have a hunch that this particular badge (alongwith another that's similarly priced) has been sat on ebay for months now - it's a bit over-priced.

My advice is wait, these really are not worth more than £20 or so.

Good Luck!.

search the forum for threads - the following thread explains the diestruck AAC in more detail (paragraph 2)
