what are your thoughts on this item?
is it genuine?
when was it worn?
whats it worth as im probably going to move it on

No idea. It doesn't appear to be a known badge and I've never seen one. I know some regiments had special badges made up for mess waiters in India, so that could be a strong contender. If it was something like that, I think it would be a great item for a Gloucestershire Reg collector.

The design is that of the regimental crest and I think you could be right, a mess waiter's head-dress badge.

its not often that no one recognises a badge especially when its been identified in the title.
so am i to assume its a rare item if no one knows it?
thank goodness for the Bosleys catalogue collection i have
bosleys 30th april 2008
lot number 609
sold for 132gbp
