Default Tank Button

Any suggestion on this one? Produced for WW1 veterans?

Hello

I'm sure there has been a button like this shown on the Forum before but no definitive answer came up!

Possibly a souvenir button produced for veterans as you suggest or for the public at large (as a fund raiser?).

It is not an official British Army type and I am pretty certain that it is not an official pattern used by any other army.

Nice button all the same and a worthy addition to any collection of tank buttons!

Roger

These are my two. One of them has traces of a very thin green paint/lacquer. Both have black paint in the rear of the button.

Thanks for images. I can only hazard a guess that they could probably be for blazer, or similar, use

I think the back of the button shows what it is: an early overall button.
