Default boer war rifle associations

I have been collecting Boer War Rifle Associations QSAs . Members of 15 of these units recieved QSas. The number of medals to each unit was small ( never more than 50 to any one unit ) . Being so small, if they had badges , they would be scarce.
I have found over years of collecting both medals and badges, that usually badges to 'scarce'units are harder to find than medals named up to the same units.
So I was very pleased to get a badge to the Melmoth District Rifle Association. This increases my collection of Boer War Rifle Associations badges by 100%. I dont know if there are any more. I attach pics of my complete collection. If Owen's book is to be believed, they are Camperdown and Melmoth Rifle Associations
Regards
Mike

Messrs Sullivan certainly did make super really super little badges in those days, yes, generally speaking they are far rarer than a mere QSA to the same.

Stunning badges Mike, thanks for showing them. Maybe there's still an unknown one out there waiting for you. I wouldn't be surprised.
Cheers,
Alex

Nice collection you have there, Andrew. I dont think that I can add anything to what you already know ( or have surmised )
Found another DRA badge. Its made of a lead alloy and pretty crude.
Regards
Mike

Hi Andrew,
I wish I knew, but as you know, very little info on the subject of DRAs.
One day I hope to stumble across the answer.
Regards
Mike

Hi Mike
Some towns that were in the areas where they may have needed a DRA in the Eastern Cape area are Aberdeen, Adelaide, Albertinia & Avontuur. Maybe one of them?
Cheers,
Alex
