Default transkei mounted infantry

As I have mentioned in a previous thread, The Rhodesia influence is very marked on the insignia of the erstwhile 'independent self-governing' territory of Transkei. A mounted unit was formed with a cap badge which was a copy of the Rhodesian Greys Scout badge ( apart, of course , from the name ) . I have attached a picture of a chrome metal badge and a silver badge, which I guess were worn by other Ranks and Officers respectively. The quality is inferior to that of the Greys Scout badges and I have no idea as to who manufactured them. They were not manufactured in any great quantity.
Regards
Mike
