Air/Sea Rescue badge has a backing Ive not seen before, But I have no problem with it. A pattern worn from about 1944.

Wings are standard late war with the horizontal stitching on the wings. Both fine.

The backing on the A.S.R. badge is very similar to a type found on cloth patches made in Vietnam. I have serveral 'in country' made American unit patches in my Vietnam collection that have the same type of construction at the back. Badges were usually made in small, local back street shops.

Do'nt know enough about British Army cloth to voice an option, just passing on the little I do know.
