Default WOMEN'S LEGION ORIGINAL PIN STYLE?

Hi Chap's. I wanted to see if anyone could confirm for me a concern that the pin style on this badge isn't really of the period they were issued; and that it is either a re-strike/fake of the modern era.

Thanks

Hi Simon,
Here is mine for comparison. I think it is a genuine badge but stand to be corrected.
Cheers, Tinto

Hi Tinto, I would expect it though to have the pin style on yours with the horizontal pin. Let's see if anyone pitch's in another comment and see.

Thanks
Simon.

Evening Simon.
Don't know if the pictures I have attached will help. They are of sweetheart badges given to me by a good friend, whoes uncle collected them during the great war when he served with a Yorkshire unit. While not Legion badges, maybe the pin styles will be of interest. Possibly your badge was a different maker?

Hello Simon,
I have one that looks like it's been salvaged from a bonfire with the same pin fixing.
Regards Tony.

Hi Tony/Billy. Thanks for those points and pics. I think I'll go for it and take a chance.

Thanks again
