Arms of service strips
Spitting through some of my arms of service strips.
The top three are replica I am quite sure of those. The Infantry strip on the left might have a chance of being original? The REME left under has doubting me but I think original ww2. The REME and RAOC are both of the same manufacturing. Three thick pieces of coloured cloth on a khaki strip. With some sort of paper strip between them. I have no idea on these, original ww2 or not? Thanks |

Hi stef,
Here's a look at my meager accumulation for the sake of comparison. I'm pretty sure they're all original... By the way, why is it so hard to find these things? I would love to flesh out my group.

Hello Dob,
Thank you for posting. I agree that yours are original. I have a few similar in construction but I haven't photographed them as I was sure these were original. They are indeed hard to find, especially when you need a good set. |

Here are a few examples I have. RAOC, RASC, PIONEER CORPS, R SIGNALS and REME. The paper tailor's strip show they were made or supplied by SUTTLE of Cambridge.
