Its a wonder why members help with identifying items, only to see the items for sale on other sites. Personally i think its disgraceful behaviour. IMO that is. If a Forum member breaks the Rules, they should get a ban. Again IMO.

At an starting price of £500 it is way beyond what I would pay, but seeing it offered here would of be good imo. I noted a 1957 dated kangol sold a few days back for £155.

Judging by the backing of the scroll here, it looks similar to the Rhodesian badge shown previously.. can anyone help out with if this is what I’m looking at please?

Could be a later production run. Definitely appears to be out of the same stable though.

It looks very similar to the first pattern Zimbabwe SAS beret badge, made after Zim SAS requested beret badges from 22, instead of sending badges from QM stores, the request was passed to a "third" party who had a badge made modelled on the Rhodesian made badge.

I am often very surprised by the prices actually being paid for tatty old berets these days.
