Iain, do you mean the badge with title? I wondered about that but wasn't sure if it was one badge or two.

I've not come across modern mess dress badges for the unit, so I don't know what the standard badge is but would imagine that any version must be quite scarce.

All the best
Craig

Yes Craig, the combined mess dress badge and title but it's actually a prototype and wasn't approved.

I didn't previously have any mess dress collars or titles to UMR so very pleased; as you say scarce.

Yes, it seems a bit pointless to have a scroll with "Umvoti Mounted Rifles" and then the UMR title below, just in case you weren't sure...
Nice piece to have though, I hope you find it's buddy.
Cheers,
Alex

Interesting observation Alex.

A little gem to have. I believe it was worn by Spouses as a Sweetheart badge after being rejected

regards,Iain.

Alex, I was led to believe that it has been a tradition for many a decade for the OC to wear the "Just and Frank" version. I was also told that it was the same badge that get ceremonially handed over with change in OC's? This might or might not be true, just heard it spoken about at some gathering years ago, cannot even remember when or where.
