the buttons are just basic 2nd type Merchant Navy button.

Thanks

It's just a plain fouled admiralty pattern anchor with a rope surround, the other type of generic Merchant Navy button is a nautical crown superimposed over an admiralty anchor within a rope surround. Of course many merchant shipping companies had their own design of company button.

Hi Terry, This particular cap tally is for TS Wakeful NTC, a unit based in Cowplain, near Waterlooville in Hampshire (about 9 miles from Portsmouth), Unfortunately the unit is no longer in existence.
