1st Royal Lancashire Militia
Hi Gents,
I thought I would share these two 1st Royal Lancashire Militia buttons for interest and/or comments. I recently acquired the silver example you see. This is by Firmin and due to the rim dates from 1855-1881. Of interest and my reason for sharing these two here, is that my other example has no rim so is pre 1855 but interestingly is in guilt finish (by Isaacs Campbell). Nice to have an example in both silver and gilt, so the 'Anorak' I am, thought I would be nice to share. Cheers, Roy

Thanks Tim & Andy,
Appreciate your kind words. When I saw the silver plated examples, I thought 'that one looks familiar' so was quite pleased when I realized I had a gilt example, so wanted to get both for a nice comparison. Cheers, Roy
