Default Unofficial RAAC Bullion Beret Badges

Here's my collection of unofficial Royal Australian Armoured Corps bullion beret badges and some cloth kepi patches.

Mostly worn "out bush" on exercise but some were worn by officers.

Some are just made by Christies but were never worn within the unit (such as the 2/14 LHR one).

Enjoy!

Mick

Hi Mick, only just seen these, very interesting. What are the " Christies " made ones? From what you say it seems they were made for collectors or ex troopers, best wishes Mike

Hi Mike,

Some of these were made for collectors, ex members etc but most were worn either out bush during exercises or in some cases by officers.

The 4CAV one was an officially issued item.

During the 1970s/1980 some COs of the 1st/15th Royal NSW Lancers wore a bullion badge and I was also told that at least one CO of 1st Armoured Regiment wore one as well.

Mick
