Claro rifles
I have just found this badge and I’d love to know what sort of badge it could be as it seems to be made of silver , there seems to be no marks or damage on it from any piece of missing material. Any help in identifying what sort of badge this could be would be brilliant.

From the screw post fixings I would expect it to be for a pouch.

Lovely badge and i would agree with Luke, a pouch badge. Bosleys sold one back in 2016, link attached. A few more details about the unit.

I found another for sale via Bosley’s from Dec 2021.
This one has an additional scroll below the bugle ‘LOYAL YET FREE’ so may be why you were told yours was broken. Note the flags intersect the circlet at very noticeably different points (plus other differences) hence not the same die. In view of the link posted by Deejayuu with a very similar badge to your own I would suggest a these are two different patterns. Obviously these are just my observations, happy to be corrected by others with Claro Rifles subject knowledge. |

Bosley’s description of the scrolled badge states 3 screw post fixings and they identify it as a silvered officers Pouch Belt Plate.
Dimensions aren’t provided sadly. |
