I think I have a winner but would like confirmation from the Forum that it is... I have a 14 day guarantee and did step up on the $$ paid...

Jim,
It is hall marked silver, if it is not genuine then whoever made it up could find themselves in serious trouble. P.B.

Typical brooched example. I have seen more converted to brooch than those left in original condition with lugs.
Nice example. TRT |

The Makers Mark is J&Co by the looks? "J" over "&Co" (Jennens & Co)
Could do with a good macro pic of the Makers Mark...

The silver Liverpool Pals badges were made by Elkington and Company ( Maddocks "The Liverpool Pals " page 33 ).

I'm having difficulty trying for a macro pic but am reading the MM as EC with the e looking more like a backwards 3... if someone could post what a J over & C looks like I could rule that one out... or a correct makers mark for a Liverpool Pals I could rule it in... thanks Jim
