Default 3rd Battalion Parachute Regiment...

I have been offered a Second World War souvenir money belt that has several badges / wings sewn on. It has been attributed to a Bob Foster, 3rd Bn Parachute Regiment, A Company. Is there any way to check that Foster was in the 3rd Bn A Coy. It was also suggested that he was a pall bearer for George VI, but maybe as a Guardsman? (Not sure which Regiment of Guards.) Can this be verified?
