Default Badge ID request

Hi,
I would be very graeful for any information on the following 2 badges, one is a small (approx 20mm wide) white metal stag, possibly a collar badge? The other is a brass plume (30mm wide) with "Ich Dien" as the motto, again possibly a collar badge? Any help would be appreicated,

many thanks,

The stag is possibly Hertfordshire Regiment.

The stag in white metal was worn as a collar badge in facing pairs by the Hertfordshire Constabulary. White metal pre. 1935 and chrome post '35 through to today. They are still worn.

Dave.

The W/M Hart could also be as worn by The 1st Bedfordshire Rifle Volunteer Corps (later the 3rd Volunteer Battalion).

The Hart as worn by the Hertfordshire Constabulary on the collar, was also worn on the epaulette (still is?) above the numbers. Just for fun, if the epaulette is worn on the wrong shoulder (Hart facing backwards), it was referred to as "showing Ar** holes to the Chief Constable"

All the best,

Andy

The Ostrich feathers with Ich Dien could be Prince of Wales's Own Civil Service Rifles. Or Denbeighshire Hussars?
