Default Formation Sign Doodle ID

Hi the attached came with some other ephemera within a Map book for the Invasion of Sicily, belonging to a R.Signals Officer as well as his CFS Cap.
Wandering if anyone recognises the badge or design it may have been.
Thanks
Paul

Have considered a school (ACF etc) or foreign Force but not getting anywhere

Photo possibly taken in the vicinity of Kasserine Ridge, Tunisia.

I am baffled. The strange crown is vaguely similar to that on the badge of Sheffield University OTC (Cox, 1836). Mike

Sorry Madziro, I was using the tumbleweed as a euphemism for the lack of replies.
Thanks Mike,
I’ve tried searching for Schools/Universities Badges etc. but found nothing similar myself. I had thought it may be a doodle of an Italian Badge/crest as everything it came with is related to Sicily and Italy apart from a booklet on Tripolitania.
The Chap who it belonged to was a Maj Buchanan R.Signals of CSOs Branch HQ 15 Army Gp c. 1943 later in Command of No.1 Company Eigth Army Signals until 29/6/44 and I think sometime inbetween and after with Allied Force HQ Signal Section.
