Hull 4 Heroes charity, victim of scumbag
This news item touched me and many locals as well. A guy that not only has volunteered his time and efforts to help veterens but has also set up a charity to help them had all his tools stolen by scumbag from his secure van. You might recognise his face from DIY SOS when they helped the veterens in Manchester on their program. Paul Matson set up a charity to support local veterns to Hull called Hull 4 Heroes. He is a tradesman and had all his tools stolen from his secured van overnight and was absolutley gutted as these not only provided his living, not only are used for his own use to work on buildings for veterens but also were used by all the local volunteers that assist him. The local and national community has rallied round and has replaced his tools several times over but the theft has really upset Paul. Any support for Paul and Hull 4 Heroes would be greatly received. This guy is a hero, many of us talk about what should be done in the world to put things right. Paul has actually done something about it and is a true hero. Please have a look at Hull 4 Heroes website and if you can support the cause, it would be very much appreciated.
Hull 4 heroes website giving details of the cause Paul co-founded https://www.hull4heroes.com/ Details of the theft https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/news...elping-1478296 A crowd fund set up to assist Paul replace his stolen tools https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfund.../updates/30bde Many thanks for reading, Dave

It really is awful, but, sadly these days quite typical, so many vans are broken into and tools stolen only then to appear, often on ebay.
There should be more convictions for sellers who fence stolen tools, you ask the vast majority of tradesmen and they will tell you that they use their tools until they are worn out and then they dispose of them. |
