Default all brass 17th lancers motto??

hi all
is there an all brass motto and if so is this any good.
why would it be all brass?
i am pre-empting that this one is a dud

very dud indeed even when you search the net it throws these duds up all over the place heres a photo of a real one in a group of cav stuff I got

Hi BC

What you have is whats referred to as the "Long Bone" Chadd. The proportions are all wrong. The cap Motto is wider than it is tall and the Chadd is taller than it is wide. Yours is wider than it is tall, and the shape of the bones is wrong. These come in White Metal, brass, hall marked (twice) sterling silver and with a flat back plate..

Have a good look at the one that Mac has shown, its a good one with all the right proportions and design features.

G'day BC

Pleased to help, those Fakes have been around for years, I reckon I got my first one over 30 years ago. And they keep on coming up on some dealers sites and of course on ***y !

Mate I was at the sigs museum yesterday and re photo'd the medallion in the badge display case, please Pm me your email again and I will send you a descent photo of it.
