Default Unknown waist belt clasp

I would be most obliged for an ID on the pictured waist belt clasp. Gilt finish with a separately applied silver/white metal star.

It measures 3 1/2 inches wide X 1 7/8 top to bottom. Thank you very much!

I would hazard a guess at Indian General Officers?

Thank you, Thomas. Would that be Generals (i.e Major-General, Lieutenant-General, etc) or other Officers, generally, if you know what I mean? Would you know the approximate time period? Most obliged.

kindest regards,

Tim

Ahah! Now I get it :-) Thank you.

Would you have a notion of the time period i.e. pre- or post-1947, etc? I apologise for so many questions. It would be great if someone were to come up with a reference or photo to place it precisely. Fingers crossed on that bit!

all the best,

Tim

I don't know. Try posting in the Indian badges section here on the Forum: http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...splay.php?f=18
