NORWEGIAN BADGE CARDS - GAUNT ARCHIVE - HELP PLEASE
I have a couple of cards from the JR Gaunt Archive relating to Norwegian badges.
They are said to mainly be World War 2 - Free Norwegian forces, but any advice would be appreciated Identification of some is straight forward but there are a lot I do not know. Any help with identification would be appreciated please. Many thanks for your help Mike Any advice on how to deal with the dreaded verdegis also appreciated |

Sorry I do not know how to superimpose reference numbers on images - which would make life easier for explanations. Best I can ask for is something like this if that is OK:
Image 4 - row 1 - item 2 - Generic nationality title - upper left arm Image 4 - row 2 - Generic nationality flag - upper right arm Image 4 - row 3 - items 2, 3, 4 and 5 believed to be rank braid for headdress badge (Headdress badge as row 1 - item 3) Ranks are ... Soak your tainted badges in kitchen vinegar to counter the verdigris.

Hi Mike I'm fairly confident in IDing Fig 1 top left as a Norwegian Police cap badge: they wear similar today with a red ground to the shield. Hope this helps Graham
