I assume this is for the BAAPS, though I am happy to be corrected.

This was the only title I could find that matched to the examples shown in the link.

it could be a variant for the BAAPS indeed, however these titels were also in use for the police services in Belgium that had a similar title in use in the late 40's I believe. unfortunately there are not many references concerning this mattter so hard to tell.

Thanks for the info Stef. Can you post anything to compare with the civilian police titles you mention.

The title seems a very good match for the baaps
