SAS Uniform/Beret insignia WWII period?
Hello Gentlemen,
Can you please tell me if the insignia on this BD and Beret appear to be WWII period original examples? Thanks John |

Hi John
No they are not. Wings are known fakes, titles seem synthetic threads wrong model and black background is wrong. Beret badge is post war and may be a reproduction. Cheerio, JB |

Badges on the bd are bad. Showing more of the beret would be useful to see but not a wartime badge.

The Belgian SAS wore this type of SAS badge in ww2.

How did he get WOC, wings on chest, if he never served in North Africa? In fact he doesn't have medal ribbons that show he served anywhere.

Thanks Guys! This is for sale in a local auction, so you just saved me from an expensive mistake.

Friends,
I fully agree: this BD is not to be touched with a bargepole! Cheers, Johan |

I just wanted to post a follow-up to the sale of this tunic and beret. The set did sell at auction, but it only went for $551.00, which is much lower than an original set would have sold for. Unfortunately someone wasted their money, but at least it was not me. Thanks again for the help guys.
