Looks great but I read some where perhaps on here that some sellers are just putting RSMs badges on drum majors stripes and hiking up the price where as the real one has a different size four bar chevron.........but anyway out of my price range I'm afraid.
I'll post a picture of the completed frame in a day or two, I'm content that it has all the full dress/tunic order Guards rank badges on.......before a new badge was introduced for Garrison Sergeant Majors lol

Might be good as a centre piece even if no age to it

Yeah the stripes are a different angle, however that looked right from the other pics. Tbh you could easily "make" an example that way for much less....

I think having "no age to it" is the real issue, for the collector, at least, as is the quality, or lack of it, nothing is made here now and that really does show itself, the rot certainly set in circa 1970, a great shame, Guards stuff used to be very exceptional indeed.

But the rank badge itself has no real age to it either..... as in it was only created around 6 years ago....

And yes guards stuff used to be beautiful, now it looks as cut price as the other stuff....

It's finally come to me, the dealer near Abingdon that I was trying to think of - Drop Zone.
