Opinions on two W/M badges, please
Thanks for everyone's contribution.
We can conclude unscrupulous individuals have probably decided a few years ago to produce a set of dies to fake a badge. Theses badges can come in shiny yellow metal or stained to various aged versions (like the one I have). Several examples are currently marketed by Dutch sellers but also can be found in UK as reported by Jack8 and magpie. Can I ask opinions on two W/M badges posted in my album? http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...p?albumid=3226 One is heavily polished (or bulled as O. Lock puts it). I believe this one to be original. I have my doubts about the other one. |

Opinions please.
I recently picked up this brass badge from a flea market. It shows no signs of ever being plated at all. Unlike all the other examples in this thread it has a slider and not lugs. Your opinions gentlemen please.

Well, in that case, you don't have to worry about a refund, never mind, plenty of original badges to be had, fortunately they are common, although, actually buying one of these would normally cost a little more than a couple of quid!
